E- Learning Specialist
Under the direction of the Informatics Dept, Training Manager the E-Learning Specialist will be responsible for creating engaging video content that will help support online learning.
This includes collaborating with Epic Trainers, IT Dept heads, to translate specified concepts into clear, concise videos. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video production, creating tutorials and instructional guided videos, project management skills, and experience with the e-learning software Adobe Captivate. The E-Learning Specialist will work closely with department leads that specialize in several workflows and topics to develop high-quality and accurate video content that meets the requirements of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Creating, managing, and maintaining e-learning video content.
- Collaborating with trainers, instructional designers, and IT leads to help identify employee training needs.
- Establish E-Learning development standards.
- Find innovative approaches to enhancing E-Learning content and learning experiences.
- Develop E-Learning content that illustrates practical concepts and enhances retention of information.
- Developing presentations and video scripts for course development.
- Communication with trainers, instructional designers, and IT leads to discussions about maintenance of the E-Learning course library.
- Create and edit videos using Adobe Captivate.
- Convert video content into compatible format for upload.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to review and E-learning content prior to release
- Continually evaluate user and staff feedback to ensure all instructional materials are consistent and up to date.
- Update course content after system upgrade and newly implemented workflows.
- Maintain project documentation with all workflow and subject requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or Communications related fields.
- 3+ yrs. experience with Learning Management System as a developer or administrator, including presenting E-Learning content.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software applications (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and writing skills.
- Well-versed in Adobe Captivate.
- Experience in scriptwriting and video editing.
- Ability to communicate with audiences of varying levels.
- Ability to work independently, organize, and manage time.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
