Job Title: Solar Construction Manager
Location: IL
Duration: 1 year contract to start
Pay Range: $50 - $55/hr, OT after 40
Work Schedule: 40-50 hours each week
Start Date: ASAP interviews and start.
OVERVIEW:
Client is seeking qualified Solar Construction Manager with experience in Commercial solar projects that include rooftops, canopies, and ground mount systems.
This position will require a high level of traveling.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversight of daily Construction activities at the job site
- Will be responsible for daily and weekly progress reporting
- Customer interactions and conflict control
- Will manage the construction schedule and will have some insight into change orders while working with the PM
- Subcontractor oversight and compliance
- Independent work environment, no direct reports. Project team will consist of PM, CM, and interactions with the Safety Manager
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience managing the construction of commercial solar projects
- Structural steel experience required
- Electrical experience a plus
- Strong Microsoft Office software skills
- Experience with ProCore
- Electrical solar system experience and understanding to communicate with general contractors
- Confident in report writing
- Attention to detail
