One of our top law firm clients is seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level Associate to join their Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a wide range of employee benefits and executive compensation matters, and a passion for contributing to the growth of a national practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, design, implement, and administer tax-qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, as well as health and welfare benefit plans.
- Advise on executive compensation and benefits aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
- Navigate taxation issues related to executive compensation arrangements, including compliance with Sections 409A and 280G of the Internal Revenue Code.
- Design and draft employment and executive compensation agreements and arrangements.
- Provide legal advice and strategic counsel to clients on complex employee benefits and executive compensation issues.
- Collaborate with partners and other team members to deliver high-quality legal services.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in employee benefits and executive compensation matters.
- High level of academic achievement from a reputable law school.
- Proven experience working in a law firm environment, with a focus on employee benefits and executive compensation.
- Excellent writing, drafting, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Ambition, drive, and a team-oriented attitude to support and grow the practice.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
