For this role, we are seeking a Controls Engineerwho will work on robot manipulation problems in unstructured environments.
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years of experience implementing optimization-based multi-DOF control algorithms.
- Understanding of spatial kinematics and related mathematical concepts.
- Good software engineering skills.
- Experience in robotic path planning algorithms.
- Previous work using force feedback control of end effectors.
- (Plus) Experience in deep imitation learning or reinforcement learning.
- (Plus) Experience in selecting and designing grippers.
- (Plus) Familiarity using simulation tools such as Gazebo, Mujoco, or Isaac.
What you’ll do:
- Solve problems in manipulating components for robotic assembly (fastening, peg-in-hole, grasping, etc.)
- Implement drivers for controlling motors and receiving data from F/T sensors.
- Design and implement signal processing filters.
- Collaborate with engineers and construction field personnel to align on design requirements.
- Specify mechanical and electrical requirements of necessary robotic equipment.
