Matura Farrington is working closely with a highly respected and established law firm that is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their team in San Francisco. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated litigation practice group, providing comprehensive support across all phases of complex litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Production Management: Take charge of the entire document production process, including the collection, review, and management of both physical and electronic documents. Maintain strict chain of custody protocols and track materials through every stage.
- Research & Analysis: Perform in-depth factual research and document analysis, compiling the results into organized charts, graphs, and timelines. Investigate prior testimony and publications of opposing experts, and ensure compliance with procedural rules across multiple court venues.
- Legal Document Preparation: Assist in the preparation and filing of legal briefs and documents, including cite checking, fact-checking, and compiling exhibits. Ensure all documents adhere to the necessary formatting and court-specific rules.
- Litigation Support Systems Management: Oversee the use and management of litigation support systems, including e-discovery platforms and transcript management tools. Coordinate technical logistics for depositions and trial preparations.
- Trial Support: Provide critical support during trial preparations, including organizing trial exhibits, preparing pretrial documents, and managing the logistics of trial offices. Offer on-site support throughout the duration of the trial.
- Leadership & Coordination: Supervise and guide legal staff, coordinate with internal departments, and manage relationships with external vendors to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or an ABA-approved paralegal certificate.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in complex litigation, particularly in trial preparation and support.
- Proficiency in legal research, cite checking, and adherence to Blue Book formatting standards.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- High-level experience with litigation support software and a demonstrated ability to implement process improvements.
- Flexibility to travel and work overtime as required.
