Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with over 8 years of expertise in mechanical design, project management, and system analysis to join an industry leading client in the Raleigh-Durham area.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems across various sectors, including commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. A focus on delivering innovative, efficient, and sustainable solutions is essential. While a PE registration is preferred, extensive hands-on experience in mechanical engineering is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the design and engineering of mechanical systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
- Perform complex calculations, load analysis, and simulations to ensure optimal system performance and energy efficiency.
- Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and design documents using AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering software.
- Review and approve designs, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and client requirements.
- Manage and mentor junior engineers and designers, providing guidance and oversight on project execution and technical issues.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, electrical engineers, and construction teams to coordinate project deliverables and timelines.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems during and after construction to ensure successful implementation and performance.
- Provide technical expertise and input on proposals, feasibility studies, and project cost estimation.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering and sustainability.
