Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking, with specific experience in Sophos and Fortinet technologies. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure for our clients, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Configure and maintain network security devices, with a focus on Sophos and Fortinet technologies.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients, resolving network-related issues promptly and efficiently.
- Implement and manage network security measures to protect client data and infrastructure.
- Conduct regular network assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to integrate network solutions with other IT systems and services.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in network technologies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer, preferably within an MSP environment.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching.
- Hands-on experience with Sophos and Fortinet products, including firewalls, UTM, and VPN solutions.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing network monitoring tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, NSE, or Sophos Certified Engineer) are a plus.
