Job Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair
- Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Electrified Garage and EV manufacturer standards
- Communicate with Service Advisors to obtain needed parts
- Examine the vehicle to determine if any additional safety or service work is needed
- Advise Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
- Document all work performed and any recommended services on the repair order. Upon completion of the job, return the repair order to the Service Advisor.
- Maintain a high knowledge level of high voltage, low voltage, and general electric vehicle systems
- Ability to work with the appropriate software to properly and completely document all customer vehicle repairs (The Three C’s)
- Performing Quality Control checks for repaired vehicles to ensure repairs are completeComplete a thorough diagnosis and perform repairs accordingly including HVAC systemsPerforms electrical tests and inspections including measuring continuity, current, voltage and resistance of electrical and electronic systems
- Experience with harness builds, connector pin-outs, crimping and cable installation as well as soldering small/large projects
- Perform 4-wheel vehicle alignment Perform tire mount and balance including tire repair
- Road test customer vehicles
- Ensure each customer's car is kept clean, undamaged, and without changes to the comfort, convenience systems.
- Notify Lead Technician and/or Manager on Duty immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
- Attend Electrified Garage sponsored events and media coverage
- Keep shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all Electrified Garage owned tools at all times
- Adhere to all attendance, punctuality, and timekeeping standards
