Location: Nassau County NY, ONSITE 5 days a week
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Assistant Executive Director will assist in building a strong team, fostering a dynamic philanthropic culture and strengthening programs and impact in the community. This new position will provide oversight and management of annual programs, direct mail campaigns, special fundraising events and the donor database. The Assistant Executive Director, in collaboration with the Executive Director, will ensure implementations of the Foundation's strategic plan.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with the oversight and implementation of:
Programs
Direct mail campaigns
Prospect research
Funding proposals
Data entry, including policy and procedures, training staff, tracking results, and providing reports.
Acknowledgment letters and procedures
Special fundraising events
Special Foundation-related projects as needed
Work collaboratively with the finance department to reconcile donor activity.
Required:
Bachelor's degree required or equivalent
Five years of relevant fund development experience in the healthcare industry
Knowledge/Areas of Expertise: Philanthropy and fundraising concepts
Fluent in Donorperfect
Strong oral and written communication skills
Executive Presence, business acumen
