Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Landscape Manager to join our team in Amarillo, TX. This full-time, in-person role requires a creative individual with strong technical skills and a passion for plant health care. The successful candidate will diagnose and treat ornamental plant and turf issues, develop a management program for residential and commercial customers, and train employees in proper techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose: Plant health care problems, preventative measures, apply chemicals, and correct watering issues.
- Estimate: Prepare accurate project estimates, including material costs, labor, and timelines, to ensure projects stay within budget.
- Communicate: Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Landscape Management, Horticulture, or related field.
- Experience: Examining ornamental plants and turf to diagnose insects, diseases, fungi, water, and soil issues that cause plants to be unhealthy.
- Technical Skills: Safely apply chemicals to treat problems, adjust irrigation, and correct problems for healthy plants. The ability to obtain a chemical applicator license and irrigation license within 1 year of employment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate programs, issues, and solutions to clients and team members.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality design and project outcomes.
