Job Summary
- We are looking for an infrastructure engineer to join our application infrastructure support team.
- You will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our SaaS & Oracle cloud-based applications.
- You will also provide technical guidance and troubleshooting for complex issues on the project.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize the application infrastructure, including SAAS, PAAS, and IAAS offerings.
- Analyze and resolve technical problems related to application performance, functionality, and security.
- Collaborate with developers, vendors, and stakeholders to implement and test solutions for application enhancements and upgrades.
- Develop and maintain documentation, policies, and procedures for application infrastructure support.
- Provide strategic recommendations and best practices for application infrastructure improvement and innovation.
- Along with the software vendors, act as technical lead for DR and Performance testing for specific applications.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT analysis and support.
- Familiar with middleware offerings such as Apigee, boomi, and Informatica cloud.
- Experience with drafting technical documentation
- Understand basic monitoring concepts and how tools are used to meet those requirements.
- Perform basic independent troubleshooting by looking through logs and can investigate and fix simple code issues.
- Security Basics: Basic understanding of security best practices
- Scripting & Automation: Ability to create simple scripts
- Understands config & change release management processes. Familiarity with Azure DevOps and FlexDeploy is a plus.
- Familiarity with DSeries Scheduler is a plus.
- Proficient with command line tools on both Linux and Windows servers.
- Understands networking, load balancers, and general connectivity protocols.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively to deliver solutions that meet business needs and expectations.
- Understanding of cloud fundamentals (SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS) is a must. Certification in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is a plus.
