Infosys is seeking an Aerospace Stress Engineer. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications:
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Wichita, KA or be willing to relocate to the area.
Bachelor s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
At least 4 years of experience in Aerospace Industry as a Stress Engineer.
Comprehensive knowledge Stress analysis of Aero structures, Nacelle and EBU systems
Experience in performing Static, fatigue and dynamic stress analysis for Aero structures
Experience in use of classical hand calculation approach to analyze both primary and secondary structures
Experience in providing technical solutions from conceptual to detailed design stage.
Use of Finite Element Methods for load extraction and to solve complex engineering problems
Participate in review meetings with Client, Customer and Suppliers.
Experience in Engineering Stress report generation and review.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in metallic and Composites structural analysis
Experience in Load, stress calculations and preparing technical reports
Experience in Finite Element Analysis tools (Nastran, Patran)
Experience in static, fatigue and damage tolerance calculations
Experienced in PATRAN, NASTRAN, FEMAP
Experience in MRB and SRM
Experience in CATIA V5, Enovia
Interact with customer; prepare Scope of Work, laydown the execution methodology to ensure that the projects executed meet the customer requirements.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of Aerospace industry and standards
