A global materials manufacturer is looking to hire a North American Regulatory Manager to join their team. Reporting to the VP of Legal, the incumbent will provide counsel and advice to the business regarding product safety/regulatory affairs, product stewardship, and product risk management. The North American Regulatory Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a national strategy and product stewardship program to ensure compliance with regulatory issues. This is a hybrid role (requiring 3 days a week in the office) and requires 30-40% travel, most domestic, occasionally international.
The Role:
- Identifying and internally communicating emerging product safety and environmental regulations that may impact our products;
- Ensuring the Company’s safety data sheets and labels clearly and accurately relate product safety guidance and comply with applicable regulations;
- Arranging for the timely and accurate response to product stewardship requests from customers and other stakeholders;
- Managing the Company’s compliance with various global inventory and import regulations.
- Mentor and develop a team of 3 Product Stewardship Specialists
The Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, such as: IH, Occ. Health, Toxicology, Environmental, Safety or Chemical related.
- 8+ years of product stewardship experience; chemical manufacturing experience required.
- Strong working knowledge of the regulations of both regional, national and global authorities governing product safety and registrations.
- Knowledge of product risk management and product stewardship is essential.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements under TSCA, RCRA, and REACH.
- SAP experience a plus
