Position Overview:
The Senior Manager of Enterprise Architecture is responsible for leading the Solution Architecture and Domain Architecture teams within the Enterprise Architecture (EA) organization. This role is crucial for providing technical leadership and oversight across IT Portfolio functions and guiding the Application Architecture team within a federated architecture model. The Senior Manager will design, plan, and implement enterprise-wide IT architecture strategies that align with business objectives while advancing the organization's modern application architecture platform. Collaboration with business and IT leaders to ensure effective technology use, promote architecture best practices, and foster high-impact technical leadership is key to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the Solution and Domain Architecture and Capacity Management teams, providing design and architectural guidance to global Application Architecture teams.
- Mentor and guide a team of architects, ensuring they meet goals and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Work with senior leadership to identify and prioritize business opportunities that can be enhanced through effective architecture.
- Design and manage the implementation of complex IT systems, ensuring they meet business needs and are scalable, secure, and efficient.
- Establish and enforce architectural principles, guidelines, and standards.
- Develop and maintain current and target state architecture models, including applications, data, and infrastructure.
- Promote modern application development practices and tools, integrating them with development processes and advocating for their adoption.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years in IT, with at least 8 years in enterprise/solution architecture roles within large, complex environments supporting various IT portfolios (e.g., Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Sales, E-commerce, Finance).
- Proven leadership experience in managing architecture teams within Fortune 500 companies or Big 5 consulting firms, with expertise in technologies such as SAP S/4, Manhattan (or similar EWM), SAP IBP (or similar), Microsoft Dynamics CRM (or similar), Azure Cloud, and MS 365 (including Fabric, Power BI, Power Platform).
- 5+ years of experience in architecting, designing, and delivering scalable systems in regulated environments.
- 3+ years of experience working with customers, both internal and external.
- 3+ years of experience with Azure concepts and implementations.
- Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, PCI, Privacy, etc.) is preferred. Software engineering and infrastructure architecture experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar.
