Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist for our premier client. Temp -to-hire opportunity with the potential for long-term growth and stability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing and a keen eye for accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for multiple employees on a bi-weekly basis.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Verify and reconcile payroll data, including timesheets, wages, bonuses, and deductions.
- Handle payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain payroll records and documentation.
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
- Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar payroll role with at least 2 years of experience.
- Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
$25 - $27 per hr.
