Job Title: Tech Support Agent (Restaurant Industry Focus)
Overview: We are seeking a tech-savvy, motivated individual with a background in restaurant management to join our Tech Support team. This role involves providing high-quality, hands-on support for Point of Sale (POS) systems, inventory controls, and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for POS systems, assisting store managers and assistant managers in fast-paced environments (primarily fast food restaurants).
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, working independently and collaboratively with the support team.
- Help clients manage sales and inventory reporting, track deposits, and resolve discrepancies.
- Utilize proprietary software and the TigerPaw ticketing system to manage and document support requests.
- Maintain a customer-first mindset, communicating technical solutions in a clear and patient manner.
Required Skills:
- Restaurant Management Experience: Hands-on experience with inventory controls, financial reporting, and sales tracking in a restaurant environment (Assistant Manager or similar role).
- Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues without relying on scripted responses.
- POS System Knowledge: Strong understanding of management-level functions of POS systems beyond basic usage.
- Customer Service: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with inventory management or POS systems in a restaurant.
- Comfortable with learning new technologies and troubleshooting both software and hardware issues.
- Previous call center or help desk experience is a plus, but not required.
