You will help improve the communities in which we all live, work, and play for multifaceted engineering design tasks, project delivery, and interacting with clients and public agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including surveyors, engineers, and subconsultants while mentoring junior-level staff.
- Responsible for profitable operation of the Florida transportation team, staffing, morale, and client satisfaction.
- Prepare proposals to FDOT and other agencies for transportation projects.
- Prepare written technical proposals and make short list presentations.
- Prepare written scopes of work and fee proposals, negotiate, and prepare subconsultant agreements.
- Serve as project manager with responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
- Lead and manage transportation projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with DOT standards, codes, and regulations.
- Serve as Engineer of Record. Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed design phases of transportation-oriented engineering projects.
- Present to prospective clients and project stakeholders, including responding to questions from internal and external audiences.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of technical experience in transportation design
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineering license
- FDOT experience required
- Proficiency with Bentley OpenRoads, MicroStation, 3D corridor modelling, Microsoft Project
