Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept:
As the hands-on Production Floor Manager at MAKS, you will be responsible for overseeing our production floor, shipping and receiving, and inventory operations, with an emphasis on leveraging software tools to optimize processes and track productivity. Your role is to ensure smooth and efficient production operations, using your technical skills to track, forecast, and improve performance across the board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forecasting and Planning: Use inventory management software (e.g., ERP, MRP systems) to analyze historical data, current orders, and production schedules. Develop strategies to optimize warehouse space, reduce excess inventory, and drive profitability.
- Order Fulfillment: Oversee the timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders using digital tracking systems. Ensure collaboration with production teams to maintain sufficient stock levels.
- Inventory Management: Implement software-driven inventory control measures to track stock levels, minimize shrinkage, and prevent stockouts. Conduct regular audits using inventory software to ensure accuracy.
- Quality Control: Monitor quality standards through data from tracking systems, ensuring compliance with incoming materials and outgoing products. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address production issues.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and train warehouse staff on the use of digital tools to achieve production targets and meet deadlines.
- Performance Monitoring: Use KPI dashboards and reporting software to track metrics such as order fulfillment rates, inventory turnover, and accuracy. Take proactive measures to correct deviations from targets.
- Process Improvement: Utilize data analytics to identify areas for efficiency gains and cost savings. Implement process improvements through the integration of new technology and software best practices.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures. Use software tools to track safety audits and inspections.
- Communication: Foster open communication channels using digital tools for seamless coordination with shipping, customer service, and other departments.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on warehouse performance using reporting software, including inventory levels and production output, and present findings with actionable recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., ERP, MRP, Ship Station, or similar platforms) as well as Slack and Google Suite.
- Experience in logistics, production management, and team leadership.
- Ability to interpret and analyze data through reporting and KPI tools.
- Familiarity with production floor operations, especially in the automotive or electronics sectors.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies is a plus.
