The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for a wide range of HR functions to support the organization’s workforce. This role encompasses recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws. The HR Generalist will work closely with employees and management to foster a positive workplace culture and ensure effective HR practices.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
- Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation and onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support.
- Mediate and resolve employee conflicts and issues in a fair and timely manner.
- Promote a positive work environment and support initiatives to enhance employee engagement.
- Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems.
- Support managers in conducting performance reviews and provide training on evaluation processes.
- Identify training and development needs to enhance employee performance.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and questions regarding their benefits.
- Conduct market research to ensure competitive compensation practices.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Assist with audits related to HR practices and employee records.
- Stay updated on changes in employment legislation and ensure company policies are compliant.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in human resources or a related field, with a solid understanding of HR practices and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in HRIS and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
