A well-respected, people-first, values-led engineering environmental consulting firm with a rich 40-year history and growing steadily is looking to add an experienced Geologist to lead projects and people.
The work will include a variety of environmental remediation and corrective action projects. Everything from legacy superfund sites partnering with Fortune 500 clients to Brownfield and former industrial redevelopment, the Connecticut Property Transfer Act, and the occasional private commercial client. Remediation of large to small sites utilizing pump and treat, soil removal and vapor barrier, Enviro-Bac in situ, and more all from characterization to closure.
This role offers a hybrid work model and is best described as a leader of teams and projects working closely with clients as a trusted advisor.
Preferred Capabilities:
- Creative, results driven individuals with strong backgrounds in team management, geology, hydrogeology, geochemistry, environmental science, or related fields
- Connecticut Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) or someone on an LEP track preferred
- BS/MS in Geology, Environmental Engineering, or similar major
- Approximately 10 years of experience completing environmental investigation and remediation projects in Connecticut
- Demonstrated success in planning, developing, and executing field investigation/remedial strategies for pollutants in various geologic settings
- Experience with CT Remediation Standard Regulations and EPA Brownfields programs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in MS Office products
- Capable of working both independently and in a team environment
- Self-motivated, energetic professional
- Previous experience managing and/or directing staff preferred
