Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
Works with the Project Manager to develop timeline and labor resource plan for project completion.
Discusses project scope, budget, and timeline, as well as the layout plan for all purchasing requirements, coordination efforts and reporting structures with the Project Manager, site operations and customer.
Conducts meetings to ensure alignment between customer, their current preferred vendors, and ATS preferred vendors.
Manages the physical inventory process during site transitions.
Participates in parts processing activities separating MRO parts (Good, Bad, Obsolete).
Assists in the parts crib build-out and reorganization tasks as required.
Ensures inventory data preparation is complete for import into ATS proprietary MRO system.
Provides system and process training for the materials team, technicians, site management, and customer employees as needed.
Develops custom processes to support different contract variations.
Participates in alignment discussion with customer's Purchasing and Accounting departments to ensure a smooth transition.
Reviews ATS processes and impacts on current activity with customers.
Works closely with department managers/supervisors to assure areas stay within budget.
Assists ATS corporate supply chain department with inventory problem resolution, assesses new or potential site storerooms, audits existing site storerooms, and develops new processes.
Works with corporate purchasing department, fills out requisitions for tools, supplies or equipment necessary to complete project plan to customer specifications.
Follows up on all purchase orders placed by corporate buyer and processes in ATS proprietary MRO system.
Presents project information, utilizing PowerPoint or equivalent program, to operations and customers on a weekly basis.
Travels up to 80% of the time required
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Behaviors Required:
Associate's degree from two year college or technical school and five or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years of inventory or storeroom management experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
Familiarity with manufacturing equipment parts and supplies
Must be proficient with a computerized parts/maintenance management system, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Project management and capital project experience preferred
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
