Summary
Performs work under general supervision. Assists with the order entry process and is responsible for the coordination, accuracy, timeliness, and approvals for entering customer orders into order processing systems. Work closely with Quality, Shipping, Supply Chain, Production, and other departments as needed to ensure customer expectations are met. Acts as the liaison between sales, customer, and the Closure Division.

• Understands, documents and communicates customer requirements and specifications including quantity, quality, schedule and delivery and any other items of importance to the customer. • Responsible for accurate collection of data required to facilitate customer orders and supports in communicating updates to customer orders as needed.
• Maintains sample inventory, pulls samples, and mails/delivers to customers as requested.
• Ensures all requested ship dates and service delivery requirements are met.
• Communicates with Sales and operations to ensure all parties are up to date with status of orders and/or project status.
• Communicates daily with internal and external customers to coordinate delivery of customer needs and acts as a liaison with other departments.
• Provides professional, efficient and effective customer interactions (email, incoming and outgoing phone calls, follow-up communications, responding to requests for information, etc.)
• Picks up and delivers supplies, products, etc. as needed.
• Processes orders utilizing SAP and other internal systems.
• Assists with scheduling and supporting customer visits, press checks, and tours of facility. Includes scheduling space, employees to attend, meals, technology needs, and providing other general support.
• Communicates manufacturing and scheduling limitations to Sales and customers.
• Follows through on internal and external customer issues to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
• Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of operations, customer service, logistics, finance, and/or product development experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency and 6 years of operations, customer service, logistics, finance, and/or product development experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility;
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Software. • Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of customer service experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility. • Prior work experience within customer service in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior account management experience.
Compensation
- Hiring Hourly Rate: $26.63 - $33.27
- Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
