Overview:
CornerStone Technology Talent Services is seeking an experienced ETL/Databricks Engineer to join our growing data engineering team. This long-term, full-time remote opportunity offers a dynamic work environment where you will play a critical role in building and maintaining data pipelines, working with advanced data technologies, and supporting business operations through effective data management and analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Data Pipeline Development: Build and automate data pipelines using ETL tools to ingest files provided by customers.
- Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading: Work with various technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from multiple data sources using primarily ETL tools.
- Technology Exploration: Stay current with the latest AWS technologies to introduce new capabilities and improve efficiency.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Investigate and resolve data-related issues, providing troubleshooting expertise.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and propose innovative data solutions.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience with Databricks and building data pipelines.
- 2+ years of experience with SQL queries, including various SQL commands.
- Proficiency in Python.
Technical Knowledge:
- Understanding of both Structured and Unstructured data.
- Familiarity with BI concepts and relational or multi-dimensional modeling.
- Knowledge of RDBMS best practices and performance tuning techniques.
- Experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS services like S3, CloudWatch, and EC2.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Programming Skills: Knowledge of Java or JavaScript.
