Sr. Electrical Engineer – Embedded Controls
We’re seeking a hands-on Senior Electrical Engineer with Embedded Controls to support the design, development, test, and troubleshooting of digital/analog circuits, aircraft power generation systems, and test equipment.

Our commercial division provides round support, equipment, and service to airline operators including global maintenance, repair, and operations.
What you will do:
- Support the life cycle of new product development from concept, through design and development, testing, and product support.
- Develop embedded control architectures, algorithms, and requirements for high-power energy conversion systems.
- Develop embedded software design and programming of microcontrollers and/or DSPs for control of power converters using C programming language.
- Test hardware performance with embedded software/firmware, utilizing JTAG interface, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes or similar equipment.
- Successful transfer of new designs to Production.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate that designs comply with product specifications.
- Design, develop, and generate test software on embedded and PC-based platforms for production and integration testing.
- Conduct validation, verification, and qualification testing. Verify designs are implemented with accurate consideration for power quality and performance, systems interfaces, physical environment, etc.
- Provide product support as appropriate by isolating faults and resolving design issues.
- Monitor the activities of subcontracted technical services.
- Document designs, specifications, engineering changes and test reports
- Perform other duties and cross-training as assigned.
- Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
- Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
- Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in electrical engineering product design and development.
- Must have five (5) years of hands-on experience in embedded software design programming microcontrollers and/or DSPs for control of power converters.
- Experience with embedded code generation and C programming language.
- Experience testing hardware performance with embedded software/firmware, utilizing JTAG interface, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes or similar equipment.
- Knowledge of interfacing microcontrollers and DSPs to analog, digital circuits and electro- mechanical systems. This includes working knowledge of troubleshooting analog circuit design for signal measurements.
- Experience in transferring designs to production.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

- Ability to take ownership & develop a sense of urgency with projects and work assignments.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

- Ability to travel to customers and suppliers occasionally. (~10%)
Bonus Attributes:
- A Master’s Degree is a plus
- Experience with Microchip and TI family microcontrollers
- Experience in the Aerospace industry is an advantage
- Experience with control of AC-DC, DC-DC, and DC-AC power converters is an advantage
- Experience in creating schematics and layout
- Knowledge of test set software development on PC platform
