Develop customer relationships necessary to drive and increase sales.
- Review inquiries and develop sales strategies in conjunction with field sales team.
- Prepare estimates and quotations and follow up on proposals to secure orders.
- Negotiate and secure competitive pricing on material and outside processing.
- Monitor and evaluate job performance throughout the project life cycle.
- Due diligence on the review of contract documentation, engineering drawings, and all other related communications with customers and their projects to minimize liabilities.
- Work with project schedules to ensure all lead times and deliverables are met to ensure shipment schedules are on time.
- Negotiate favorable terms with customers and suppliers consistent with company requirements.
- Work with engineering, to ensure technical drawings are complete and submitted to customers and production within the time frames established.
- Problem solves - Work with operations to resolve engineering and/or manufacturing questions that arise for projects under your management.
- Work with customers to develop their design requirements for future projects.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Ability to sell and negotiate orders, strong chemical, and/or mechanical engineering knowledge
- Excellent communicator with the ability to effectively translate technical data to non-technical employees.
- Ability to problem solve
- Costing and project management capabilities/experience.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and critical milestone schedules.
- Proficient computer software skills and ability to work with an ERP system.
