Job Description: The Litigation Paralegal I will play a crucial role in supporting case teams
throughout all stages of litigation, from the initial filing to trial and appeal. This position involves managing both electronic and hard copy document collections, performing legal research, and preparing trial materials. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks, and focused on teamwork and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Management: Oversee the collection, organization, and production of legal documents, ensuring proper chain of custody and handling of evidence.
- Legal Research: Conduct substantive research, including the review of documents, analysis of materials, and understanding of court procedural rules.
- Preparation of Legal Documents: Assist in drafting routine legal filings, ensuring the accuracy and proper formatting of legal citations, and managing the submission of briefs and exhibits.
- Trial Support: Prepare and manage trial exhibits, documents, and transcripts, providing essential support during trial proceedings.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in litigation cases.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Proficiency with Relativity or similar eDiscovery software.
- Strong organizational and research skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
