Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead large-scale water and wastewater programs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex infrastructure projects, fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams, and driving projects to completion on time and within budget. This role is crucial in shaping the future of water and wastewater services in the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams in the planning, design, and execution of large water/wastewater programs.
- Oversee project milestones and ensure successful delivery, focusing on quality, schedule, and budget performance.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders, ensuring open and effective communication.
- Guide the integration of technical and non-technical solutions to address complex challenges in water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Manage program risks, regulatory compliance, public relations, and land acquisition efforts.
- Support the development and implementation of Capital Improvement Programs (CIP) in alignment with the client’s goals and needs.
- Mentor and develop program staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
- Collaborate with marketing and client services teams to pursue and win new program management opportunities, including proposal development and contract negotiations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 20+ years of experience managing large-scale infrastructure programs, with a focus on water and wastewater projects.
- PE Licensed in CO
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and complex stakeholder environments.
- Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance, program controls (budget, schedule, risk), and land/right-of-way acquisition.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships and lead teams effectively.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- PMP certification or other relevant certifications are a plus.
