Senior Consultant, Procurement
Location: Chicago, IL (3 days in office hybrid-Downtown Chicago)
Contract Type: C2C or W2
Project Overview: Direct client looking for strong Procurement expert to Lead critical global strategic sourcing and procurement projects within the Business Services spend category.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing: Manage and lead sourcing events; analyze and present data to guide investment decisions.
- Negotiations: Conduct contract and price negotiations across Marketing, HR, Print, and Business Services categories.
- Category Management: Oversee spend analytics, multi-year roadmaps, and market education.
- Supplier Collaboration: Work with suppliers to enhance value, innovation, and compliance.
- RFx Management: Lead RFx processes including RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs from development through award.
- Contract Management: Draft and negotiate agreements (NDAs, Master Agreements, SLAs, SOWs) and manage ongoing contract administration.
- Performance Monitoring: Track supplier adherence, conduct reviews, and manage performance metrics.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Present procurement metrics and updates to senior management and key partners.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 7+ years in Sourcing/Procurement with a focus on indirect sourcing; Bachelor's in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Finance.
- Advanced Education: MBA or equivalent, and professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPM) preferred.
- Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; advanced Excel proficiency.
- Tools: Experience with ERP systems (PeopleSoft) and Source-to-Pay (Coupa).
- Technology Procurement: Expertise in technology procurement and contract negotiation.
