Position Overview:
The Business/Financial Systems Analyst drives systems design and implementation. You will gather, document, and analyze business requirements and workflows, translating them into functional specifications for developers. You will serve as a subject matter expert, support QA testing, and collaborate closely with BAs, developers, and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle. This role requires an experienced leader who can guide teams, resolve problems, and uphold best practices.
Essential Duties:
- Lead and document business processes and workflows.
- Elicit client requirements through interviews, workshops, and analysis.
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop features and user stories.
- Define use cases and functional needs.
- Create functional design documents and process flows.
- Develop and update detailed project plans.
- Identify and resolve project issues.
- Create test scripts to verify business requirements.
- Coordinate problem reviews and follow-up actions.
- Ensure business needs and project objectives are met.
Must-Have Skills:
- 5-8+ years in financial systems/business analysis.
- Proficient in requirement gathering, functional specifications, use cases, and data models.
- Strong communication skills across all levels.
- Basic project planning and management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and SQL reporting.
- Leadership, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and organized team player.
Desired Skills:
- 3-5 years in implementing/supporting business systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
- Experience with finance/accounting systems
