Role Description
We are seeking a dynamic, passionate Life Sciences tutor to join our team and support our growing client base. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching high school life sciences (i.e., biology and chemistry) and will be ready to engage with students from day one. This role also includes the opportunity to help develop educational materials and resources for other tutors.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging life sciences lessons tailored to individual student needs.
- Enhance students’ understanding of life sciences concepts and improve their academic performance.
- Manage relationships with parents and students by providing lesson plans and regular progress reports.
- Contribute to the development of teaching materials and resources to support effective tutoring.
Qualifications
- Current graduate student from a top 20 school (Ivy Plus) pursuing a degree in a relevant field (Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related discipline).
- Strong academic background with demonstrated excellence in life sciences courses.
- At least 1 year of prior tutoring experience (through an agency or independently).
- Ability to work independently, create lesson plans, and maintain effective communication with students and parents.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with curriculum development and instructional design.
- Familiarity with online tutoring platforms and virtual classroom management tools.
- Strong understanding of high school life sciences curriculum and exam formats.
