DevOps Engineer for Elite Investment Banking Firm – Long Term Contract, Downtown Chicago

Position: DevOps Engineer (Long Term Contract)
Location: Downtown Chicago - MUST BE LOCAL TO CHICAGO
Client: Prestigious Investment Banking Corporation
What You'll Do:
- Provide production support for Java applications and backend databases, ensuring smooth operations and timely resolution of issues.
- Work closely with the Wealth Passport team and coordinate with off-hours support from a team in India. Flexibility for occasional weekends may be required.
- Manage IaC through ServiceNow, handle L2 and L3 ticket resolutions, and maintain operational manuals and database scripts.
- Analyze client issues, collaborate with the digital team for code changes or migrations, and contribute to ongoing improvements.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in production support with a solid background in Java and backend databases.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in PL/SQL and Java coding. Familiarity with Microservices and Oracle database backend is crucial. DevOps experience and scripting skills are a plus.
- Application Support: Strong experience managing IaC and resolving tickets, especially with Java and Microsoft applications running on PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry).
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with remote teams and handle occasional on-call responsibilities.
