Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility by overseeing and leading our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a maintenance lead or management role, with a preference for experience within the pulp and paper manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance of equipment and reduce downtime. Address and resolve equipment breakdowns and malfunctions promptly.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Promote a culture of safety and enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Scheduling and Planning: Create and maintain maintenance schedules, coordinate with other departments to minimize production disruptions, and manage maintenance resources effectively.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and lead efforts to repair and restore equipment to operational status.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of maintenance supplies and spare parts, ensuring availability and proper storage.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment histories, and maintenance logs.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance lead or supervisory role. Experience in pulp and paper manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing maintenance challenges.
- Education: Associate Degree or certification in a related field is a plus.
