The Data Governance Technical Lead is a key player in managing and safeguarding data in organizations that handle extensive datasets. This role is vital in implementing effective data governance practices to ensure data quality, consistency, compliance, and efficient data management. Expertise in Informatica’s IDMC/CDGC suite for Data Governance is required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- 10+ years experience in Data Management with the last 5 years in Data Governance project technical areas including Master Data, Data Quality, Policies and Metadata management.
- Data Governance Strategy Implementation: Assist in the development and execution of processes for profiling and mapping incoming data attributes (e.g., personal identifying information) to master data attributes and values. Esablish a multi-layered process for performing data quality and work with the business team to confirm data handling rules.
- Collaborative Efforts with Client Stakeholders: Work with various departments such as IT, compliance, and business units to align data governance practices with both internal and external standards and requirements.
- Data Governance Training: Leverage knowledge and certifications in non-invasive data governance to contribute to team training and development, ensuring up-to-date practices in data governance.
- Data Quality and Protection: Help establish and enforce data quality and protection standards, including implementing relevant audit processes to maintain data integrity and confidentiality.
- Tools and Technology Management: Engage in the setup, operation and management of Informatica Cloud Data Governance (CDGC) .
- Metrics and Reporting: Contribute to developing metrics and reports to measure the success of data governance initiatives and support in providing updates to senior management. Proven ability to lead meetings with Senior Management and discuss Key Business Metrics, Business Processes and improvement opportunities.
- Support: Collaborate with teams across the various divisions to ensure comprehensive implementation of data governance practices across the organization.
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in data governance and practical implementations, particularly in non-invasive approaches, and familiarity with implementing data governance frameworks and policies.
- Specific project experience Certification for Informatica IDMC (Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud) and/or CDGC (Cloud Data Governance) is required.
- Relevant training/certifications in data governance is preferred.
- Strong collaborative and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Analytical mindset with robust problem-solving capabilities.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, phones, and photocopiers.
Physical Demands
This position requires the frequent and repetitive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Hand and finger dexterity is required.
