Sales Network Engineer
Optomi, in partnership with one of our premiere clients, are seeking a Sales Network Engineer who will be responsible for engaging with customers to understand their networking needs, conducting onsite assessments, and writing proposals for federal programs and RFP submissions. Following the proposal phase, you will transition into project management to oversee the successful implementation of the solutions you help sell.

Qualifications of the right candidate:
- Strong knowledge of network design principles.
- Proficiency in writing RFPs and proposals.
- Experience with HP Aruba Networking and Fortinet switches/access points.
- Excellent communication skills, balancing sales acumen with technical knowledge.
- Ability to work effectively under the guidance of a highly technical supervisor.
- Familiarity with Cisco Meraki.
- Relevant certifications in networking or related fields.
- Experience with phone systems, security cameras, and access control systems for future cross-selling opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct onsite visits and walkthroughs for clients, primarily in the K-12 education sector.
- Develop and write proposals and RFPs to meet client requirements.
- Manage projects resulting from generated sales, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Check in with approximately 200 existing customers in the fall to assess their needs and opportunities for additional services.
- Collaborate closely with the Lead Engineer and other team members to ensure client satisfaction and technical accuracy.
