Glocomms is partnered with a renowned alternative investment management firm based in Boston and seeking a skilled and motivated Security Analyst to join its established security team. The Security Analyst will play a critical role in safeguarding the firm's assets, data, and systems by identifying vulnerabilities, monitoring threats, and implementing comprehensive security measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively monitor the firm’s network and systems for security threats, investigate anomalies, and respond to potential security incidents in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, including penetration testing and risk analysis, to identify areas of improvement and remediate identified risks.
- Assist in conducting internal and external security audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in the financial sector.
- Manage and maintain access controls, ensuring appropriate permissions are in place for employees and contractors based on business needs.
- Contribute to security awareness programs for employees across the wider business, ensuring that staff are informed about current threats and best practices.
- Work closely with IT and compliance teams to integrate security protocols with the firm’s broader operational framework.
- Utilize advanced security tools such as SIEM systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), firewalls, and endpoint security solutions to ensure the firm’s infrastructure remains secure.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.
- Demonstrated professional experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management, preferably within the financial services or investment management industry.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001), network security principles, and experience with security tools such as Splunk, Palo Alto, and CrowdStrike.
- Ability to analyze complex security data and respond to threats with practical, scalable solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- High level of attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining the highest security standards.
