Akkodis is hiring a temporary Provider Contract Coordinator to assist our client in the Healthcare space.
Location: Remote (candidates must reside in California)
Employment type: 3 month contract
Pay: $27/hr
Under direct supervision, the Provider Contract Coordinator is responsible for organizing the timely and accurate processing of provider contracts, contract amendments, provider data changes, and other related activities from inception through termination. This role involves coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, managing contract documentation, and ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines.
Essential Functions:
- Gather and compile new and updated contract and provider information from various internal and external sources; distribute information as required.
- Complete, obtain timely sign-off for, and distribute Provider Change Updates (PCUs).
- Respond to questions regarding provider information necessary for accurate and timely provider input, including maintaining data in related systems.
- Research and respond to basic contract inquiries from other departments.
- Coordinate contract updates, demographic changes, addition or termination of providers, and other related activities.
- Review incoming contracts for completeness, ensuring all signatures and changes to Attachment C are documented; obtain signatures and update contract documents as needed.
- Monitor the status of new contracts, contract amendments, and other related items; follow up with providers and escalate issues as necessary.
- Track the progress of credentialing applications; coordinate with the credentialing department to resolve contract or credentialing issues; escalate unresolved issues when needed.
- Prepare contracts for mailing and filing; oversee the maintenance of both electronic and hard copy contract files.

Education and Experience:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience in a similar role within healthcare, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
- Associate’s Degree.
- Experience in managed care and/or Medi-Cal.
