Note: This position is an ONSITE role in Chattanooga, TN.
ABOUT THE POSITION
To develop and manage a facility Production plan that is innovative and promotes maximization
of efficiency and optimization of resources/assets internally while retaining enough flexibility to
ensure that all customer needs are met in a timely and cost-conscious manner.

- Responsible for key supply chain performance indicators across velocity and order-to-delivery.
Key Activities & Responsibilities
- Gathers forecast and constrained Sales and Operations Planning data and analyzes information to develop valid production plan.
- This position leads the facility Sales Inventory and Operations Process, reporting performance to forecast, production and inventory plans in both dollars and units.
- This role is the facility’s key resource for information related to facility cash flow and inventory turns goals and works directly with the S&OP Process owner to address demand planning issues and coordinate efforts across supply chain and operations functions.
- This position leads efforts to achieve customer delivery/promise dates by setting and managing shop priorities.
- This position is responsible for the preparation and effective communication of the facility production schedule, after collaborating with other functions, both inside and outside of the facility and / or business division, i.e.., facility leadership, marketing, product support, manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and external business partners.
- This position leads efforts in conjunction with marketing/sales to develop an accurate forecast and economical inventory/customer satisfaction plan. uses information gathered from these efforts to develop an innovative, flexible approach to meet customer satisfaction requirements.
- Uses common processes to develop and distribute the measurements and reports necessary to monitor progress towards goals and provide a feedback loop through which decisions can be made regarding short-term scheduling.
- This position drives compliance and quality assurance for the rough-cut capacity planning process using standard supply chain technology and is responsible for rough cut capacity planning results for the facility.
- This position leads facility efforts to build strong partnerships involving complex relationships and networks of facility and external resources at all functional and organizational levels.
- Operates under limited direction with input and participative direction from other staff managers.
- This position is involved in significant conflict resolution/management between departments and/or individuals with conflicting objectives, and proactively and professionally addresses conflicts using governing committees, common process adherence, driving metrics alignment and strong business case development.
- Supports data gathering to provide availability administration including demand management, special order programs, responding to critical deals, quoting delivery for large projects, etc. Helps prepare scheduling proposals to accommodate special situations such as strike hedge plans or reviewing costs and consequences of layoffs, carrying inventory, using plant shutdowns, etc.
- Supports oversight and analysis and development of complex attachment (Options) forecasts utilizing the latest tools available to compensate for changes in ordering behavior. Monitors attachment (Options) inventory daily and develops schedules to achieve inventory turns goals while maintaining good availability on key attachments to compensate for order changes and diversions from stock inventory.
To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:
- The position requires university degree preferably in Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management, Industrial Engineering, or similar field
- Knowledge and understanding of 6 Sigma project management principles
- Experience with Oracle/Epicor ERP preferred
- Minimum of five years of progressively more complex supply chain experience
- Advanced knowledge of material control, supply chain planning, supply chain performance, logistics, purchasing, parts distribution, inventory control, manufacturing engineering, operations, transportation, demand and order.
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organization, negotiation, conflict resolution and communication skills
- APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification preferred
- Advanced analytical skills and excellent interpersonal skills are required to analyze complex and sensitive business issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is very important.
- Ability to work independently to manage multiple projects and initiatives to meet established timelines.
- Self-starter, highly motivated to identify problems and take initiative to make corrective actions.

- 5+ years of supervisory experience required. Is responsible for the overall direction and coordination of the Production Control Department. Directly supervises two (2) to six (6) employees in the Production Control Department.
