SUMMARY:
The Senior Healthcare Superintendent is responsible for all field related activity such as jobsite safety, cost, quality and schedule on larger, more complicated projects. They work closely with management staff regarding all aspects of the project. They also communicate regularly with the General Superintendent, requesting support and taking direction as necessary to ensure successful project delivery. The Senior Superintendent is the lead for job site safety, quality control, and project schedule as well as serves as the liaison with architects and consultants on all field and constructability issues. Occasional travel is required. Maintain relationships with Clients, Architects, Consultants and Subcontractors. Daily activities are conducted to promote the company's vision, mission and core values.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 15 years of experience as a Foreman, Superintendent, or equivalent role, in the construction industry.
- Degree in Construction Management, or related field, preferred.
- A solid understanding of the construction industry, job site safety requirements, planning and scheduling, building trades and sequence of work, and relevant technologies.
- Well diverse in leadership, communication, and teamwork with the ability to manage for results, as well as a strong proficiency in coaching / mentoring.
- Must be able to read plans and specifications.
- Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, Outlook and experience with project management and scheduling software, strongly preferred.
- AHCA experience preferred
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the field and project team successfully and collaboratively.
- Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with clients, Construction Managers, project team, consultants/architect/engineers, subcontractors, adjacent community, trade unions, and governmental agencies.
- Responsible for the project set-up, job site logistics, field coordination, and project schedule.
- Review all project documents for constructability and content, including shop drawings.
- Maintain and update project records including RFI’s, ASI’s and as-builts.
- Create and enforce a site-specific emergency action plan for assigned projects in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Supervise and coordinate all subcontractors.
- Coordinate with building inspections, subcontractor inspections, and agencies.
- Perform daily job site walks and submit daily safety audit reports.
- Conduct and / or attend Foreman meetings, pre-task meetings, safety meetings and project staff meetings.
- Manage the job site’s staff production and performance.
- Use of project management and scheduling software effectively.
- Attend company and industry events including meetings, trainings, workshops, etc.
- Other related duties as assigned or needed.
