Job Title: DB2 LUW Administrator
Location: Richardson, TX || Tampa, FL
Term: Fulltime
Infosys is seeking a DB2 LUW Administrator who will Install, Configure and Upgrade DB2 server environments.
Required Qualifications:
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Tampa, FL or Richardson, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel within the US.
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.
At least 1 year of experience in Installing, Configuring, Upgrading, Administering and Troubleshooting DB2 server software.
Data maintenance: Performing data maintenance activities like REORG, RUNSTATS, LOAD, UNLOAD, IMPORT, and EXPORT
Database monitoring: Monitoring database health using snapshot, event, and health monitoring
Database performance: Working on database performance and SQL tuning
Security control: Performing security architecture review and security control and administration

Preferred Qualifications:
- Database design: Designing database schemas and structure
- Need to work as a DB2 UDB V8.x, 9.7, 10.1 Database administrator on UNIX, LINUX and Windows platforms, with knowledge in online transaction processing and multi-user systems involving large and distributed databases.
- Involved extensively in Installation and Configuration, upgrading, and troubleshooting DB2 databases.
- Skilled in database administration tasks like SQL coding, Relational Design, Referential Integrity, Index strategies, and SQL Troubleshooting Using DB2 UDB.
- Migrate DB2 UDB databases from old to newer versions and applying FIXPACKS to keep DB2 at most recent level.
- Installed, Configured and upgraded DB2 server software and related products on Mainframe environment.
- Troubleshot day-to-day problems encountered on production database environment.
- Developed and implemented standards to create databases and various database objects
- Managed database loading, migrating and maintaining data with LOAD, EXPORT, IMPORT DB2LOOK.
- On-call: Participating in on-call rotations.
- Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
- The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
