Job Description:
As a Data Scientist, you will be embedded with their San Antonio-based client to help solve essential problems to deterrence.
You'll be pulling data sources, cleaning data, setting up machine learning problems, code solutions to physical problems, and set up and run machine learning problems. You'll be working with code blocks and highly classified problem sets.
Responsibilities:
This is an ambitious role that will make formative impacts on topical deterrence issues, combined with significant opportunities for growth. They are seeking candidates that understand how high the stakes are, and are happy to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
You'll work in small teams to fully own the delivery of high stakes projects with their client. A typical work day will include building LLM workflows at scale, interacting with the customers to better understand their needs and set an AI strategy, but the most impact will be driven by developing solutions.
Qualifications:
- Active Security Clearance is required.
- Strong academic foundation in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred, with a minimum of a Master's degree.
- Extensive experience in Python, particularly with data manipulation libraries like Pandas and PyArrow.
- Strong expertise in database management, with knowledge of databases such as MySQL and Oracle.
- Proficiency in large-scale data processing and the development of batch processing pipelines within HPC or cloud environments.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCloud, Azure) is advantageous.
- In-depth programming and scripting skills, with a strong emphasis on Python, Pandas, and Numpy. Familiarity with additional languages such as Shell, PERL, Java, C/C++/C#, Scala, etc., is also valued.
- Advanced technical proficiency with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow and Scikit-Learn.
