KYDA Partners have teamed up with a leading organisation that have a unique and confidential opportunity for a Senior-Level Water/Wastewater Project Manager and Team Lead in Reno, NV. This full-time position is critical to their strategic expansion in the region and involves contributing to the planning, evaluation, design, permitting, and implementation of a variety of water and wastewater projects. The successful candidate will work on high-impact projects such as treatment plants, biosolids management, pumping stations, and pipelines for both private and municipal clients.
The role will focus on addressing emerging contaminants like PFAS, technology/alternative evaluations, digester improvements, and water reuse strategies. This is a position requiring a candidate with a proven background in delivering complex water and wastewater projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage technical engineering documents including reports, specifications, permits, cost estimates, and construction plans.
- Lead the development of project scopes, schedules, and budgets, providing support to marketing efforts for new business pursuits.
- Oversee engineering investigations and planning work, including data collection, analysis, and feasibility studies.
- Ensure high standards in project delivery through rigorous quality control, including checking calculations and reviewing design drawings.
- Prepare and present materials for reports, presentations, and permit applications.
- Conduct field observations to ensure compliance with project specifications and plans.
- Lead the design and development of preliminary to final project plans and drawings.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional development.
- Uphold the highest standards of engineering ethics and professional conduct.
- Collaborate with other company units to develop and execute business development strategies targeting clients in northern Nevada.
Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
- 10-15 years of experience in project production and technical professional activities, with at least 6 years as a project manager.
- Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in technical writing, public speaking, and presentations.
- Experience in process, pump station, and treatment plant design and management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Civil 3D is a plus.
- P.E. license in Nevada is required.
