This is a Nurse Residency Program position in the New Graduate Residency Cohort within Procedural area of focus. Positions could be available in OR, PACU, Endo, Cath Lab, and/or APSI.
This program is intended for the nurse who does not yet have acute care experience. This could be a new graduate RN or a nurse who has only outpatient experience. The Nurse Residency Program at CMC is a 12-month RN program with a strong focus on nursing best practice, teamwork, and resiliency. This position is for the Winter 2025 New Graduate Residency cohort, with a program start date in February 2025 and require either a permanent or temporary RN license. Interviews with begin in late September/early October.
The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of acute patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in the clinical setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. Knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.
Minimum Required:
- RN License required
- BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
- Proficient in English, verbal and written communication skills, and computer skills required
Preferred/Desired:
Weekend Requirements: Every 3rd weekend.
