Senior Civil Engineer - Water/Wastewater

Responsibilities

Lead and guide multi-disciplinary project teams, providing technical expertise.
Oversee pre-design investigations and prepare contract documents.
Prepare and review technical reports and project deliverables.
Coordinate with clients, regulatory bodies, external stakeholders, and technical subconsultants.
Effectively communicate complex technical issues to clients.
Manage construction-phase engineering support, including submittal reviews, RFIs, change order requests, negotiations, and dispute resolutions.
Conduct and oversee design and construction field observations.
Assist in proposal preparation.
Understand client needs and build strong, trusted relationships.
Ensure projects meet technical, quality, budgetary, and scheduling requirements.
Delegate and manage tasks efficiently.
Mentor and lead junior engineers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
7-15 years of experience in water, wastewater, recycled water, and/or stormwater infrastructure projects.
Professional Civil Engineer license in California.
Proven experience in developing technical work products, including construction documents.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience in providing technical and project leadership to junior engineers.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project; experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred.
