Retail VP Market Manager -Union, NJ

The Market Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the successful business development of their market, encompassing business planning, budgeting, and achieving commercial deposit, loan, and revenue goals. This position involves cultivating a business referral network, active participation in networking events, and assuming leadership roles within community and business organizations to enhance the bank's brand recognition.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business.
- 7 years in a retail bank sales/service management.
- 3-5 years management/supervisory experience.
- Multi-branch bank management experience preferred.
- Proven experience in commercial banking, with a track record of acquiring profitable deposit and lending relationships.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to develop and implement annual business plans for branches, aligning with market strategies and expectations.
- In-depth knowledge of sales management, performance management, talent management, and operational/compliance processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with Financial Center Managers and build a culture of accountability and achievement.
- Active involvement in business organizations and leadership positions within the community.
- Ability to effectively coach, develop, and manage staff to meet performance expectations.
Description:
- Drive the acquisition of lucrative new relationships in commercial banking, focusing on both deposit and lending aspects within the designated market area.
- Collaborate with Branch Managers to craft and refine comprehensive annual business plans for each branch, aligning strategies, tactics, and expectations with market objectives.
- Cultivate a minimum of 2-3 Centers of Influence, fostering relationships that actively refer profitable commercial deposit and lending connections, including one from the accounting profession.
- Engage actively in business organizations within the market area, assuming leadership roles to enhance the bank's presence and influence.
- Provide consistent monthly coaching and development initiatives for Branch Managers, ensuring continuous growth and performance improvement.
- Oversee and enforce accountability for Branch Managers in the effective management of sales, performance, talent, operations/compliance, and service processes within their respective branches.
- Collaborate with Branch Managers in the creation of budgets, holding each accountable for achieving set targets.
- Enforce accountability for Branch Managers to meet branch sales, service, operational, and compliance expectations.
- Be available to work in the branch for coverage purposes upon request from senior management.
