Role Overview:
As a Senior Control System Engineer, you will oversee the development and management of control system functions and interfaces. You will provide technical leadership and mentorship to a dedicated team of engineers, ensuring high-quality technical outcomes and fostering collaboration within a global engineering network. Your role includes supporting the entire product lifecycle and guiding junior engineers in processes, tools, and solutions. Travel requirements include up to 20% between company locations and up to 10% for other travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to define and develop control system requirements, designs, and verification documents for safety-critical applications.
- Set and maintain high technical standards, ensuring quality and professionalism in all engineering activities.
- Provide guidance on engineering processes, deliver training, and create comprehensive documentation.
- Review engineering deliverables to ensure they meet technical and quality standards.
- Solve complex engineering problems using advanced technical knowledge and experience.
- Communicate intricate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering with at least 2 years of product development experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of experience in product development engineering.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with military qualification processes for airborne systems.
- Knowledge of FAA certification procedures.
- Background in gas turbine engines, propulsion systems, or electrical control systems.
- Proficiency with control system design and analysis tools.
- Experience with model-based systems engineering using digital tools like MATLAB, Simulink, or similar.
- Expertise in systems engineering, robust design methods, and model-centric development approaches.
- Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler (MagicDraw) or similar SysML modeling software.
