The Client Support Specialist will support the Firmwide Global Client Strategy and Key Client relationships from a finance operations perspective, providing comprehensive and commercially focused guidance, involving the coordination of new assignments, matter opening, pricing, billing, collections, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with Market and Center teams for a portfolio of global Key Clients; coordinating budgets, billing, collections, and reporting
- Ability to think strategically and advise on finance-related issues
- Coordinate the review, approval, and implementation of client guidelines and financial agreements
- Conscientious and protective of the sensitive and confidential nature of information with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Provide finance-related reporting to internal teams and external clients, as needed (recurring or ad hoc)
- Prioritize, manage, and deliver multiple projects under pressure
- Review and analyze data for trends impacting billing or collections and ensure preventative solutions are provided
- Ensure timeliness of resolutions to comply with urgent requests and deadlines while operating globally; this responsibility will require the need for occasional flexible schedules
- Manage client and Partner expectations as defined by the Global Process Owners and work within established parameters
- Work with colleagues to develop best practices and identify new efficiencies per a culture of continuous improvement
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Strong comprehension of billing and collections functions, preferably within a professional services environment
- Ability and desire to thrive in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
- Proven ability to influence, interact, and consult with senior leaders regarding finance processes, guidelines, and compliance
- Strong project management and critical thinking skills
- Proficient use of MS Office and other productivity tools
- Effectively diagnose and solve problems quickly with forward-thinking and high ethical standards
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels throughout an international firm
- Ability to establish strong working relationships across all business units
- Flexibility to work a reasonable shifting schedule is required
