Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze transportation systems, including roads, highways, and traffic control systems.
- Conduct traffic studies, including capacity analysis, travel demand forecasting, and safety evaluations.

- Prepare detailed engineering reports, design specifications, and construction documents.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to deliver effective transportation solutions.

- Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in transportation engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in transportation engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in transportation engineering software such as SYNCHRO, VISSIM, HCS, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of transportation planning principles, traffic control devices, and roadway design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
