The newly forming Hospital and Clinic Family Medicine Residency is committed to building a premier residency program in the River Region. We are now seeking exceptional candidates as core
faculty. The ideal candidate for this core faculty position would be a board-certified family physician with practical experience and a genuine desire to help train the next generation of family physicians for
full-spectrum care. This is a rare opportunity for someone with vision to help develop the best model possible for resident students.
Core faculty will work closely with residency students as a preceptor and lecturer, in addition to managing program curriculum. This position will also have hospital and clinic duties, involving seeing
patients.
Compensation packages will be competitive and commensurate with experience and the potential contribution to the program. We are especially interested in individuals with expertise and a passion for
areas such as OB, sports medicine, emergency medicine, and geriatrics.
Core faculty employed physicians will also receive health and life insurance, PTO, a retirement package, plus other Jackson Hospital benefits.
The Family Medicine Residency Program at Jackson Hospital holds an academic affiliation with the Alabama College of Medicine in Dothan, and we anticipate close relationships with other academic
institutions and training programs in the state. Further, since Montgomery is the location of the Alabama Academy of Family Physicians, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, and the center
of state political activities, our residency has the unique potential to help shape the future of medical policy in Alabama through direct contact with decision makers.
