Translarity is looking for an Industrial automation engineer to work with a small team developing and building custom automated equipment for use in assembling full wafer test & verification systems for use in the semiconductor industry. This automated equipment incorporates servo driven multi-axis positioning, machine vision, small precise mechanisms, electronic test instruments and various control systems. A diverse engineering background is preferred. The ideal
candidate will have knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering, programming, working withcameras and optics, 3D printing, machine shop tools, microscopes, etc.
Software used includes SolidWorks, 2D AutoCAD, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Software PLC and HMI
programming software, ACS Motion Control programming software, Visual Studio WPF/WINFORM,
VB.net, C# and C++, Microsoft Office software including VBA (particularly in Excel) and others.
This position will require programming/debugging and mechanical design along with a smaller amount of hands-on panel build, wiring, electro-mechanical assembly and technical writing.
Translarity provides full wafer test solutions to the semiconductor industry. We are located in Fremont CA, Hutto TX, Taiwan, Shanghai and other countries. This is a role in the Fremont CA office and will report to the Director of Automation.
