Estuary Power is a developer and owner of utility scale renewable energy and battery energy storage projects in the western US. Based in Reno, Nevada, Estuary has a pipeline of over 4 GW of renewable generating capacity and 16 GWh of BESS, primarily in Nevada and the surrounding states. Estuary is backed by Ullico Infrastructure Fund (UIF), a $5 billion infrastructure fund investing primarily union pension funds. Estuary’s team has over 150 years of experience at leading firms across the renewable and conventional energy and investment sectors.
Estuary is seeking a Construction Director who will ensure superior execution of our near term solar + storage projects in southern Nevada, including two reaching NTP in 2024. The Construction Director would ideally be based in the Las Vegas area and could alternatively be located in our office in Reno if willing to travel to sites most weeks. The Construction Director will work with top tier solar, substation, and BESS EPCs and equipment suppliers, representing the owner's interests through a strong on-site presence and ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Qualifications:
At least 10 years of experience at a top-tier EPC firm or as an owner's representative in the renewable energy field. Experience with BESS and substations helpful.
Strong understanding of EPC and major equipment supply agreements and the interfaces between them.
Strong understanding of project scheduling and critical path analysis.
Understanding of collective bargaining agreements.
Professional, credible demeanor.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Well organized, diligent, and detail oriented.
Enthusiasm for lean, hands-on start-up environment and willingness to embrace a wide variety of roles, from very strategic to very executional.
Ability to work creatively and constructively with a wide range of stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, interconnecting utilities, AHJs, and community members.
Bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, or other relevant field helpful.
Must be authorized to work in the US. Estuary cannot offer H1B sponsorship.
